BBM users are allotted with a PIN which is to be used to add users to the list.
In Whatsapp one can add a phone number of another person and he can send messages or pictures to that person if he is in Whatsapp and he cannot block the person from sending messages to him. But in BBM one cannot send messages to other BBM User. He have to get his PIN and then add that PIN to his BBM List, after that he can send messages. BBM has Privacy.
